Device Information: Information such as your IP address, device type, operating system, and app version, device identifiers and unique device tokens, language and regional settings and etc.

Cookies and Tracking Data: Data collected through cookies and other tracking technologies, such as browsing history, preferences, and user behavior within the app. This data helps us personalize your experience and improve our services.

Contacts Information: If you grant permission, we access your device’s contact list to help you find and connect with friends who are also using Chic Shout. We collect email addresses and phone numbers from your contacts. This information is used solely to facilitate friend connections and is not shared with any third parties

Photos and Media: Photos and images you take using the camera or select from your device’s photo library. We access your camera and photo library only when you explicitly choose to upload or take photos within the app. Images are stored on S3 servers to display your content within the app

Push Notifications: Device tokens and notification preferences to send you push notifications about app updates, voting requests, outfit suggestions, and other app-related communications. You can manage notification preferences at any time through your device settings or within the app and turn them on and off as you wish

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide and improve the services offered by Chic Shout.
• To personalize your experience within the app, including tailored outfit suggestions and friend recommendations
• To send you notifications, SMS messages, or emails related to app updates, voting requests, promotional content, or account-related communications
• To analyze trends and usage patterns for app improvement and development.
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, security threats, or potential fraud
• To process payments and manage subscriptions through our secure payment processor (Stripe)
• To facilitate friend connections by matching your contacts with other Chic Shout users (only with your explicit permission)

Photos and images you upload are stored on our servers for as long as your account is active or until you delete them

Chic Shout may request the following permissions on your device:

Contacts Permission: Used to help you find friends who are also using Chic Shout or invite people to the app. You can deny this permission and still use the app; you will need to manually ask your friends to join and then search for friends and find them instead.

Camera Permission: Used when you choose to take photos directly within the app. This permission is only requested when you attempt to use the camera feature. On some devices this permission may not show a visible user interface and could directly take you to photos or camera.

Photo Library Permission: Used when you choose to select photos from your device to upload to the app. This permission is only requested when you attempt to select photos. On some devices this permission may not show a visible user interface and could directly take you to photos or camera.

Notifications Permission: Used to send you push notifications about app activity, voting requests, and updates. You can manage this permission through your device settings.

SMS Permission (Android): Used to send SMS messages if you opt into our SMS campaign service. This permission is only used if you explicitly opt in.

All permissions are requested on an opt-in basis, and you can revoke them at any time through your device settings. Denying permissions may limit certain features but will not prevent you from using the core functionality of the app.

If you are using Chic Shout from outside the United States, please note that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using our app, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.

PROHIBITED CONTENT

• Nudity or sexually suggestive content
• Harassment, bullying, or hate speech
• Negative comments about someone’s body or appearance
• Spam, fake accounts, or vote manipulation
• Posting photos you don’t own without permission
• Impersonating others
• Illegal content or dangerous behavior
• Minors under 13 using the app

WHAT’S ALLOWED

• Your own outfit photos and fashion content
• Constructive, respectful style feedback
• Celebrating diverse styles and body types
• Swimwear/beachwear in appropriate settings

AGE REQUIREMENT

You must be at least 13 years old to use Chic Shout.

HOW TO REPORT VIOLATIONS

• Tap the post → Three dots menu → “Report”
• To block someone: Go to their profile → Three dots → “Block User”

CONSEQUENCES

First offense: Warning + content removal
Second offense: 7-30 day suspension
Severe violations: Permanent ban

We review all reports within 24-48 hours.
